The Lil Kahuna Kayak Cart is the strongest, widest, TRUE BEACH WHEEL kayak cart on the market. Do NOT confuse the maximum load a cart can hold, with actual functionality for moving that load across loose, soft beach sand. Its is important to understand ONE average fit male should be able to pull a 200 pound load in dry soft beach sand with this cart, with moderate effort.

There are hundreds of kayak brands and types out there, therefore one size cart does NOT fit all. In addition to color customizing your cart we are giving you the option to pick the best size cart for your kayak up to a maximum carrying load of 240 lbs. Choose from axle lengths starting at 30 inches up to 40 inches.

The Lil Kahuna Kayak Cart is the dominant work-horse cart designed to NOT COLLAPSE on you. Many folding kayak carts will collapse and fold under modest resistance while in use. This is very annoying and common when transporting through soft terrain or bumpy surfaces. The beach wheels allows you to glide your kayak through soft beach sand, up or down small street curbs and steps in addition to piggy backing a few additional items such as, ANOTHER KAYAK, fishing gear, live wells, coolers, paddle boards, beach bags, and chairs. A 12 ft. lashing strap is included with the cart, however an extra heavy duty lashing strap or tie down should be used for additional heavy items. The optional loading handle helps to assist with boat ramp launches and loading or unloading from trailors. It should also be noted the Lil Kahuna Kayak cart floats should your kayak tip over in the water.

Choosing Cart Size.

With the wide variety of kayak models out there it can be a bit confusing to decide which size cart will work best with your kayak. Keep these factors in mind when selecting a cart size. The wider the wheel to wheel width and axle length the more stable the cart. However, if you choose a longer axle length you increase the size of your cart and limit the ability of storing it on the kayak with you. It comes down to personal preference and the size of your kayak when considering if stowing your cart is must have option for you.

Kayak Hull Types

Your kayak’s hull size, shape, and type will be a determining factor in selecting the best size cart for your kayak. There are 4 common hull types and different manufactures have some variations based on them. Some specific cart sizes will work best for a particular hull. Others will be more your personal preference, so a range of cart sizes will work fine as long as your strap your kayak down to the cart. Kayak Cart Placement

Placing your cart closer to the middle of your kayak will decrease the weight you feel and work load of pulling your kayak. However if you are hauling live bait wells or mini coolers mounted to the rear of the kayak where most will go, you may want to place the cart under the area where most the weight will be. If you divide your overall kayak length into thirds, say UPPER, MIDDLE and LOWER, it is best to place the cart where the LOWER and MIDDLE meet, but with trial and error you may find a better placement location.

Scupper Hole & Hull Safe

The Lil Kahuna Kayak Cart was designed to be friendly to all manufacturer’s Kayak models. Keep in mind there are very few manufactures that reinforce their hulls and scupper holes. If you are looking for a scupper hole mounted kayak cart, be sure you are NOT VIOLATING MANUFACTURE WARRANTIES. Cracked scupper holes and deformed hulls are costly and very difficult to repair and in worse cases ruin the kayak permanently.

Beach Wheels

It's all about the beach wheels. There is truly nothing on the market that comes close to what they can do. Other options fall short of this important feature. We have done test after test looking for the BEST options to move large loads across soft beach sand and other surfaces. Anything less is like pulling a stack bricks through molasses. It would be a huge mistake to compare these wheels to anything else to roll on soft beach sand. These highly durable specialty made balloon wheels are tear and puncture resistant, designed to flatten and hover over a pliable surface area before fully placing a load onto it. The Kahuna Beach Wheels help you glide over the softest beach sand instead of digging a trench into it. The purpose is to reduce drag, thus saving you the hard work of pulling your stuff to the beach. These low air pressure wheels are made of heavy duty poly urethane, and work best in sand at 2.5 - 3 PSI (Pounds Per Square Inch). The maximum air pressure is at 4 PSI. It is suggested to test each wheel with a low pressure tire gauge to maintain optimum performance. Just a few pumps with a standard hand operated bicycle pump will be enough to fill each wheel. A Schrader valve extension may be needed depending on the size of your bicycle pumps nozzle fitting.

The lower the air pressure the easier it is to move through sand, however you may sacrifice some stability with a lower air pressure. It may be wise to adjust your tire pressure based on the conditions you are using the wheels. A Single beach wheel tire can move a max payload of 121 pounds over just about any surface. Even though this All-Terrain Tire is made of the thickest polyurethane on the market it is advised to use with caution in heavy vegetation with thorns or sharp sticks under heavy loads. It would also be wise to avoid glass or sharp jagged rocky areas to avoid punctures. These low pressure pneumatic tires are designed for off road at a walking pace.    We can NOT guarantees the ability, fitness, or physical strength of any customer or user to move any specified weight payload across any type of surface. The payload weight limitations on each wheel are the limitations for the tire itself. As a frame of reference an average fit female using two 12 inch beach wheels should be able to haul roughly 135 pounds with moderate effort across dry soft beach sand as demonstrated in the video shown above.

Special Notes

1. Do NOT overload beyond the 240 lb max beach wheel load capacity.

2. Do NOT store the kayak on the cart for long periods of time. This could cause the beach wheels to deform and may risk deformation on your kayak's hull.

3.Do NOT over inflate the beach wheels beyond the 4 psi as stated on each wheel. Use a low pressure tire gauge to determine proper air pressure.

4. Do NOT use pressurized air to fill the beach wheels. Use a manual bicycle pump.

5. Avoid storing outdoors over long periods of time in the direct sun. Prolonged direct exposure to sunlight could decrease the strength of the polyurethane tires.

6. Do NOT transport people, such as children, on the kayak cart even if the person weighs less than the maximum load. The cart can still become unstable as a person's weight shifts during transport.

7. Do NOT use any solvents to clean the cart. Only use soap and water. For stubborn smudges or dirt removal use of a product called Medisol is very effective. Using anything else risks removing the color pipes protective UV coating.

8. Always use a tie down or lashing strap to secure your kayak on the cart during transport.
